General information about Procchio. Procchio is a small pearl on Elba island, a charming village that overlooks the beautiful homonymous gulf, and that can offer tourists some of the most suggestive beaches on the entire island, such as Procchio beach (one of the largest on the island), Spartaia beach, and Guardiola beach. It seems that in ancient times Procchio was a small Roman port used for loading cipollino marble and iron, extracted from the nearby quarries of Agnone; today Procchio is almost exclusively dedicated to seaside tourism.
