Sottobomba
Another of the characteristic beaches of the "White Coast" with pebbles of varying sizes. Facing the open sea and, as such, subject to northerly winds. Fairly busy, yet offering no amenities. The white hills surrounding this beach are covered in a low Mediterranean scrub, providing a very scenic backdrop. Beautiful seabed – ideal for snorkelling.

Seccione
120 steps lead to the beach of Seccione: 250m of mixed pebbly and sandy beach lying at the foot of Monte Bello, enclosed on the eastern side by a small lighthouse. It is easy to reach, along the road between Portoferraio and Capo d’Enfola. Like other beaches along this stretch of coast, it is appreciated for its wonderful seabed – a snorkeller’s paradise.

Sansone
Heading along the road towards Enfola you will come across the beach of Sansone. A picturesque backdrop of steep hill face covered in scrub that contrasts with the brilliant white pebbles. This small bay is renowned for its crystal-clear waters and can be admired from the balconies of the nearby hotels.

Acquaviva
This beautiful stretch of coast lies at the foot of a valley that was cultivated, once-upon-a-time, thanks to the abundance of fresh-water springs – hence the name, which means ‘living water’. Today the area is entirely dedicated to the nature-loving tourist, and as yet, barely marred by bricks and mortar. Just behind this beach stands a splendid pine forest providing shade. Small boats can be moored here since the bay is closed on both sides providing shelter from winds, and there are several buoys just off the shore.
