The Residenza Hotel Villa San Giovanni is situated in San Giovanni, just a few kilometres away from both Portoferraio and Porto Azzurro and only metres away from both the thermal spa and the little harbour of San Giovanni. The local tennis courts and scuba diving centre are both within walking distance (details and tariff at hotel reception desk). The Aqcuabona golf club is 7km away and the local sailing school just 5km away. Ideal base in a central position for those wishing to discover the cultural and natural treasures that this wonderful island has to offer. This residence is immersed in the lush, surrounding vegetation and local vineyards, with its own private, carefully tended gardens, ideal for those seeking a relaxing holiday, in contact with nature.
The sea and local beaches
The residence lies just 500m from the sea, but it is worthwhile taking a short car ride to discover the more beautiful beaches Elba has to offer: The charming bay of Biodola, just 3km away; the breathtaking "Capobianco", 2km away, and, not much further along the coast, the crystal-clear waters of Le Ghiaie.
Hotel Facilities
The Residenza Hotel Villa San Giovanni boasts an Olympic-sized indoor swimming pool, bar, sunbathing terrace, lounge, restaurant (open only in low season), 24hr reception and private car park. Buffet breakfast is available all season (at an extra charge for apartment guests).
Rooms and Apartments
The rooms are simply yet practically furnished, each with bathroom, telephone and colour TV. Rooms with facilities for the disabled available on request. The apartments have bathroom, colour TV, patio or balcony. The standard ‘Monolocali’ studio apartments (approx 20 m.sq.) sleep 2-4 persons – living area with kitchenette, double bed, bathroom, balcony or patio with table and chairs (3rd and 4th beds available on request at a supplementary charge). The ‘Monolocale Plus’ studio apartments (approx 28 m.sq.) sleep 2-4 persons – kitchenette, double bedroom, bathroom, balcony or patio with table and chairs (3rd and 4th beds in bedroom– either bunk beds or single beds - available on request at a supplementary charge). The ‘Bilocali’ one-bedroomed apartments (approx 32 m.sq.) sleep 4-6 persons – living area with kitchenette, twin beds, double bedroom, bathroom, balcony or patio with table and chairs (5th and 6th beds available on request at a supplementary charge – one in the bedroom and one in the living area). The ‘standard’ accommodation refers to those apartments that have not recently been renovated. Animals admitted on request both in the hotel and the residence. Supplement payable upon arrival – E70 per week for small animals / E100 per week for medium and large animals. |
